tl;dr: I played Han1 Yellow at Games For Meeples andd Bossk Blue at Cardboard Games. Alyssa played Sabine ECL.

Preface
I flip flopped on starting this as I’m not sure how much “value” it actually brings and how consistent I’ll keep this weekly logging up as it gets closer to competitive events as I would want to hold cards close to my chest. But I think it’s fine for now given how early in the set we are in.
11/8 - Games for Meeples
Format: Bo3, 3 rounds, 8 players; https://melee.gg/Tournament/View/186116
I went 2-1, Alyssa went 3-0.
Alyssa and I were undefeated going into Round 3 and faced each other for the last round. For my first two rounds, my opponent and I didn’t sideboard.
Deck - Han1 Yellow
It’s a pretty standard Han1 Yellow deck with the rebel package with the Set 3 inclusions being: Wolf Pack Escort and Enfys Nest. I figured this is most likely the strongest deck going into the new set now the Boba1 is suspended. This is also my first time playing this deck out irl. I also highkey tryhard/feel pressured at this LGS to maintain a winning streak, because of the six prior times we’ve been there, we’ve only missed 1st place once.
Matchups
Vs Rex ECL 2-0
I felt favorable for both games. I was able to build a strong early board with Wing Leader. In one of the games, they buffed three Clone tokens with Attack Pattern Delta, but I countered it with a Cunning.
Vs Rey Tarkintown 2-1
If I recall correctly, in both games I’ve won, I had a pretty heavy space presence that my opponent couldn’t stop. In the game I lost, I just recall not being able to develop a strong enough board and my opponent had too much restore for me to overcome.
Vs Sabine ECL 1-2 (Alyssa)
The outcome didn’t really matter as one of us was guaranteed to be first. But we did side for Game 2 & Game 3 as practice.
11/12 - Cardboard Games
Format: optional presiding, Bo1, 5 rounds, 23 players; https://melee.gg/Tournament/View/184295
We both went 3-2.
Deck - Bossk Blue
Standard Bossk Blue with the Set 3 inclusions being: A Fine Addition, Perilous Position, and Merciless Contest. I brought this deck, because I was expecting a high representation of Jango Red (I think there ended up being only two Jango Red decks?). I figured the bounty pings can take care of their early game aggression and how their exhaust effects wouldn’t really matter to me given how few units I play. I didn’t end up facing any Jango Red decks 🙃.
Matchups
Vs Rex Green (We played a 2nd game after where they swapped for ECL, 1-0) 1-0
I felt favorable in both games, just have to kill Aayla and Shaak Ti. I was a bit worried about their board state, because leader flip -> then Aayla ECL is basically unpreventable. But once I overcome that hurdle, it’s pretty straightforward.
Vs Yoda Blue 1-0
It was a standard control matchup. I ended up Vigilance’ing one of their Vigilance, so I basically won via mill. There was a point where I had <10hp left, with a lot of the damage caused by their Redemption buffed by Obi-Wan's exp, but after a Superlaser Blast, my opponent couldn’t really finish me off.
Vs Tarkin Yellow 0-1
I double Perilous Position'd their Lurking TIE Phantom (that also had 2 dmg from my Inferno Four) and I also had a Snoke out, but he kept buffing it out of range. I eventually lost to it.
Vs PalpSid Blue 0-1
I kinda forgot how their deck operated until after like 3 turns despite me having play tested such a deck vs Alyssa early on during the pre-release time period. I think I could've had a chance at winning because I was holding onto a Vigilance for a while, and the turn I wanted to use it to mill, he had already decked out (but he had the board advantage), so I should've been more aware of that and tried to use it sooner.
Vs Wat ECL 1-0
I was pretty familiar with how the leader/deck operated, because I had already play tested Wat Red prior (see my Wat Red deck profile). Pretty favorable; bounty pings kills off the low hp units. I never worried about my life totals or their board state.
Conclusion
Haven’t played against the Jango Red deck so no comment on that, but I think both decks should do ok against it. I feel that Han1 Yellow is currently the premier choice for mono Yellow decks, though I have seen a Asaaj Yellow deck perform decently at CBG’s 11/19 locals (writeup coming soon). Despite my record, Bossk Blue felt decent into the field.
