Format: Bo3, 5 rounds, Top Cut of 8, 28 players; https://melee.gg/Tournament/View/297749
Alyssa went 3-2 in Swiss and made Top 4. I went 3-2 and made #14 (I lost the first two rounds, so I knew I was out of the Top Cut race). Alyssa played Sabine ECL.
The meta had more control presence than what we had expected.

My Matchups
Vs SOR Palpatine Colossus 1-2
I played pretty greed in game 1 hoping that they didn’t have Superlaser Blast.
In game 3, they played Scanning Officer and exhausted both of my resources, rip my turn 1.
Vs SOR Luke Data Vault 1-2
No turn 1 play in game 3, rip. I also misplayed with SHD Qi’ra’s effect in game 2.
Vs SOR Palpatine Blue 2-0
It seemed as though I drew better / my opponent didn't draw as well. There was one turn where they didn’t play anything on the resource five turn.
Vs Quinlan Tarkintown 2-0
Mirror match, but our decks were a bit different as they have Grogu.
Vs JTL Boba Yellow 2-0
I was playing pretty controlling, trying to keep my units too weak to their leader pilot upgrade deploy while also trying to keep the space arena clear.
Alyssa’s Top Cut Matchups
Vs Quinlan Tarkintown 2-0
Their opponent missed a turn 1 play in game 2.
Vs Yoda Data Vault 0-2
Alyssa missed her turn 1 play in game 2. It was also just an unfavorable matchup for her.
Conclusion
Alyssa did great and was able to beat two different Quinlan Tarkintown players.
I’m a bit disappointed in my performance.
